Greg Anderson’s recent achievement of becoming an iLearningGlobal Ambassador has been a remarkable process to watch, primarily because Greg has been building his rapidly growing organization on a part time basis.

Greg Anderson is one of the busiest people you will ever meet. He’s been the CEO of a worldwide association of dentists for the past 15 years; he travels extensively as the President of an international charitable foundation that has raised almost 30 million dollars to date; and Greg is also heavily involved in many community and church responsibilities. Not to mention he has a wife, three children, and two grandkids.

So how in the world did Greg find the time to be become an Ambassador? Well, it may not be as difficult as you think.

In small and simple ways, Greg Anderson has made iLearningGlobal a priority each day. In an interview with Boyd Matheson, President of iLearningGlobal, Greg shared the key strategies he feels were instrumental to his success. Greg’s first key is a principle of time management he learned early on in his career from a great mentor.  The important principle is simple yet powerful: decide each morning the thing that will make you the most money and to be sure that you do it before the day is over. This principle applies to everything Greg does, including iLearningGlobal. Greg states simply, “When it comes to iLearningGlobal, I am sure, every day, that I do at least one thing that I know will make me money.”

While Greg obviously has a lot on his plate and many other responsibilities, this habit and mentality has paid off. “You’ve got to treat iLearningGlobal as a business–that is the only way I know to make any money,” Greg concluded.

The second strategy Greg feels strongly about is this: in order to make money, you need to decide why you are in the business and to write it down. He’s taught this principle to his entire group so he can be sure everyone is on the same page. As a leader, Greg feels that in order to help those in your organization, you must understand why they are involved.

Greg’s third key strategy is centered on his adamant belief that the greatest success in building an organization comes by working with the people you know the best. This is another simple strategy which has worked well for him. “I don’t know anybody who has been truly successful in this type of enterprise without writing down a list of people they know they can contact,” Greg maintains.  “I also don’t know anyone who can’t come up with a list of at least 100 names.” The reality is maybe only two or three or a handful of people from the list will be interested, but Greg believes that often two or three is all anyone really needs in order to succeed, because those two or three people can probably find two or three people they know, and so on. Greg is convinced 99% of the people who fail in network marketing never make a list of people to contact and work their very warmest market. In Greg’s experience, “Your warmest market, people you know the best, will always give you at least 30 minutes. They will always listen.”

Work and commitment no doubt play a role in Greg’s busy life and are key to the success he has achieved and have carried him to where he is today. “When I say ‘set goals’, I mean they need to be written down, carried with you and they need to be reviewed every day,” Greg advocates. He believes part of his role as a leader is to help people set the commitments they need to achieve the goals they want and to do it on a weekly basis. It’s the same short term, achievable goals that fall in line with Greg’s philosophy of focusing on getting those things done that are most important to you.

As a company, we have been delighted to watch Greg Anderson’s rise to Ambassador. Boyd Matheson says of Greg, “One of the things we love about Greg Anderson is that Greg isn’t just about making a dollar, Greg is about making a difference. All of his charitable work, volunteer, community, and church work is really inspiring. And it’s great to see someone use iLearningGlobal to increase their ability to make a difference out there.”

It’s the simple things, day in and day out, that really make a difference in life and business. Just as Greg has demonstrated, it is one step at a time, day by day – that is the road to Ambassador.
